As you know, our 2021 AGM is fast approaching. With a number of seats to fill, and the challenges of conducting our AGM via zoom, we’re asking all keen individuals to put themselves forward by Monday, March 22nd at 5pm.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We have a number of vacant Director positions on our board. As a working board, all Directors play a vital role in chairing a specific committees, to ensure the FTA is efficient and effective, across the wide variety of topics and challenges that we address.
As a dynamic board, ‘roles’ are constantly shifting, depending on the needs of the FTA. We are currently looking for representatives of the hiking community; representatives of Private Landowners and representatives of the downhill mountain biking community.
With skills including, but not limited to, Team Management; Financial Management; Fundraising; Digital marketing; Website management and development; Board Governance; Policy and Procedures.
CURRENT NOMINATIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY
Jacquie Arling: Urban and City Planner with experience planning trail networks, strategic planning, project planning and implementation. Keen to lead/participate in the trails strategy project.
Megan Kelly: Previously trail crew member with Island Lake Lodge, now trail crew at Fernie Alpine Resort and also a ski patrol at FAR, member of Search and Rescue, avid trail user (hiker, biker, runner, Nordic skier)
Martin Vale: Landowner of The Cedars, avid mountain biker, trail builder, experience in project management, would be keen to chair the Community Advisory Committee.
