Volunteer with the Fernie Trails Alliance

The philosophy of the Fernie Trails Alliance is centred on volunteerism. Our member clubs rely exclusively on volunteers to offer not only fantastic programming for the community, but also to keep our trail infrastructure in top shape and help us work on our significant project list every year.

Volunteering is simply an opportunity for you to give your time and your talent to enhance your community. Within the Fernie Trails Alliance, we are always looking for event volunteers, trail maintenance participants, and special project helpers.

Volunteer Tracking App

We now have an App for tracking volunteer hours. Tracking allows us to track trail work and allows volunteers to log hours towards earning a discount at GearHub (more details below).

 FTA x GearHub Volunteer Program

We are so excited to partner with Gearhub to create a volunteer reward program

The hours you volunteer with the FTA will translate to a discount at GearHub. The more hours you volunteer the greater the discount you can earn – up to 30% off! Your discount can be used towards retail, the service shop or rentals (some restrictions may apply).

This means there is more incentive than ever to make your mark on our beloved trail network.

The first time you volunteer this season, be sure to ask an FTA staff member about picking up your Volunteer Card.
