Our Clubs

Clubs

The FTA are associated with two types of Clubs – Member Clubs and Supporter Clubs.

Whether a Member or a Supporter, each club operates entirely independently, offers a wide variety of year-round activities, and actively supports the FTA.

Find out more, below. Or, if you operate a Club which would like to support the FTA, please contact us for more information.

Member Clubs

Member Clubs primarily focus on the enhancement, promotion and growth of the non-motorized, multi-use trail network.

Memberships for these clubs allow access to Club events, activities + hut bookings. Head to their sites to learn more.

FERNIE TRAILS & SKI TOURING CLUB

The association began over three decades ago as the Elk Valley Ski Touring Association (EVSTA), a loosely knit group of ski touring enthusiasts eager to protect and promote public access to recreation in the Fernie area. It has evolved to become a strong advocacy group for public recreation in the region.

Members of the FT&STC have over the course of the past several years contributed significantly to trail development, maintenance and promotion in the region

If you want to book a hut, then join the club. FT&STC Memberships run for a winter season.

Supporter Clubs

Supporter Clubs also actively support the Fernie Trails Alliance, however they primarily operate on trails/areas that aren’t directly maintained by the FTA.

Head to our Supporter Club sites, for full information on their memberships + services.

FERNIE NORDIC SOCIETY

The Fernie Nordic Society is a BC registered non-profit organization founded in Fernie in the fall of 2006. From a small group of dedicated Nordic ski enthusiasts, the membership of the Society has grown to over 1,500 members.

If you want to ski at the EVNC or Fernie Golf Course, you need a FNS Membership. FNS Memberships run for a winter season.
