Winter Grooming Status

44kms of nordic trails. Right at your doorstep.
Multiple trailheads located throughout Fernie, BC.

The Winter Trails & Grooming Collaborative brings together local trail groups, trail managers, resorts and community organizations to coordinate efforts, partnerships and to leverage funding to support the continuation and enhancement of public trails in and around Fernie and grooming of those trails primarily for non-motorized use such as cross-country skiing, fat biking, winter trail running and walking and snowshoeing. The collaborative is coordinated by Tourism Fernie and includes Fernie Trails Alliance, Fernie Nordic Society, Coal Creek Heritage Society, City of Fernie, Fernie Alpine Resort,  Island Lake Lodge and the Fernie Snowmobile Association.

The winter grooming map below displays Fernie points of interest, grooming status and the Fernie trail network. Grooming status will be updated regularly with status (groomed, not groomed, closed), type (snowmobile, snowshoe, trail tamer) and condition (excellent, good, not recommended).
