Our Member Clubs

We currently have five Member Clubs, who sit under the umbrella that is Fernie Trails Alliance.

Each Member Club functions entirely independently, yet works closely with the FTA, to enhance, promote and grow the wide variety of non-motorized trail user groups in the valley. From biking to running, ski touring to nordic skiing, we support a wide variety of activities, 365 days of the year.

The FMBC is Fernie’s member-based mountain bike club. They are a volunteer ran non-profit organization with a mandate to organize fun events in the Fernie area.

The FMBC works with local businesses and volunteers to ensure Fernie has a fun and vibrant biking community for all age groups and riding levels.

The association began over three decades ago as the Elk Valley Ski Touring Association (EVSTA), a loosely knit group of ski touring enthusiasts eager to protect and promote public access to recreation in the Fernie area. It has evolved to become a strong advocacy group for public recreation in the region.

Members of the FT&STC have over the course of the past several years contributed significantly to trail development, maintenance and promotion in the region
