Fernie Trails Alliance invites you to join us for some Crazy Fun!


1st Annual – Roll and Sole Trail Fest – June 28th and 29th

Location - Station Square – Downtown Fernie

The festival emphasizes fun and social participation, with guided hike and bike rides in the morning, followed by a catered lunch by El Guapo – Saturday and Yama2Go – Sunday.

Events Committee

We have an immediate opening to join our Events Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to work closely with event organizers to ensure their events are positioned as safe and sustainable events with proper land use approvals. The Committee assists the organizers to solicit volunteers and provides post event reviews.

Fernie 3

You can help maintain Fernie’s spectacular trail network by volunteering for the Fernie 3 and raising funds for the Fernie Trails Alliance. 
On June 27th to 30th the Fernie 3 requires volunteers to marshal, set up and tear down and cater. 
By volunteering you will also receive volunteer swag and have a great time!

Fernie Roll & Sole Trail Fest

What: Our Festival will appeal to bikers, hikers, runners, kids and adults. It will compliment the Fernie 3 race running the same weekend.  A great opportunity to get outside and enjoy the Fernie trails and have some fun! See the attached PDF for a preliminary schedule of events. Please pre register online for the guided hikes and mountain bikes.

Nominated for BC Parks Volunteer Group of the Year

The FTA was nominated for the BC Parks Volunteer Group of the Year for 2012. The fact that we were nominated recognizes all of the hard work and dedication our volunteers have accomplished. Thank you and keep up the good work. More details can be found on BC Parks website.

Trail Name Contest

We need your help! The Fernie Trails Alliance is looking for a new name for the Cedar Valley Connector Trail. This trail will allow recreation users to travel safely up to Island Lake Lodge via the power line leaving from the lower Island Lake parking lot. This project is directed to provide a recreational opportunity for young families and intermediate users.
